Q: How much is the consulting fee?
A: Consulting service by phone, email for the first time is free of charge. From second time, consulting fee is to be 5,000 yen per 30 min.
 

Q: I want to consult you on visa. Is it better to visit your office?
A: It is important for us to grasp the detail of inquiries or other info to offer you proper advice. So we recommend to visit our office and have a face-to-face meeting.
 

Q: What should I bring for consultation?
A: Please bring passport, certificate of alien registration (or resident card), materials which relates with consultation you would like to make.
 

Q: Is it required my signature or seal impression when application?
A: For working related visa application, both signature by the applicant and person in charge of the employing company / corporation seal of employing company are required.
For spouse visa or its related visa, the applicant’s signature and their spouse’s signature are required.
 

Q: Should I pay for visa application fee in advance?
A: No, we charge the fee based on a contingency fee.
 

Q: Should I go to the Immigration Bureau when application?
A: No, our immigration lawyer submits every required materials including application forms to the Immigration Bureau instead of the applicant. So the applicant doesn’t need to visit the Bureau.
 

Q: Should I accompany you to the Immigration Bureau when I get the result of the application?
A: No, our immigration lawyer are going to get the result instead of the applicant.
 

Q: After application I have made, is there any contact from the Immigration Bureau?
A: It depends. There are both cases of the Bureau contacts immigration lawyer by phone / mail and contacts to the applicant direct. Please inform the informative matter of our immigration lawyer once you get contact by the Bureau.
 

Q: I got disapproval of visa application. Can you give me some advice what to do?
A: Of course we do. We are trying to make re-application. We suggests another way for application depending on the reason of the disapproval.
 

Q: My period of stay expires shortly. Can you dealing with application for extension quickly?
A: Yes, we make every effort to make it, however, we request prompt action to collect required materials by the client.
 

Q: Should I submit my passport to your immigration lawyer for application?
A: Yes. It is required to present an original passport when application, getting result of application. So our immigration lawyer keeps your passport during application and give it back to you with the result of application.
 

Q: Should I submit my certificate of alien registration or resident card to your immigration lawyer for application?
A: Once application was made at the Immigration Bureau, application info (pending, or result of the application…ect) is to be registered on your certificate of alien registration or resident card. Immigration lawyer keeps your certificate of alien registration or resident card during application and give it back to you with the result of application.

We hand over copied certificate of alien registration or resident card to the clients when application. The copied certificate also works when police ask you to present certificate.
 

Q: Should I need to stay in Japan when application?
A: It is not necessary to be in Japan for application for Certificate of Eligibility. However, in case of an application to change the type of residence qualification or renewing the period of stay, the applicant has to re-enter Japan by the period of stay on their current residence qualification.
 

Q: I am now in Japan with Tourist visa. I don’t need to leave Japan if I apply for visa and the application is approved?
A: Even application for Certificate of Eligibility was made, the applicant has to leave Japan obeying the period of stay on tourist visa or any short-term visa. With any specific reason and application to change the type of residence qualification or renewing the period of stay were approved, the applicant can extend the departure date of Japan until he/she has the result of the application.
 

Q: I am now in Japan with Tourist visa. Is it possible to extend my period of stay?
A: An extension of short-term visa isn’t approved unless there are any specific reasons such as unexpected illness or serious injury.
 

Q: I want to change my certificate of alien registration to resident card. I have heard that I, myself have to visit to the Immigration Bureau for the application. Can you do this instead?
A: Yes, we can do it for you.
 


Q: How can I prove the experience of translation for Japanese/Chinese? What is Certificate of Employment?

A: We request the applicants to collect Certificate of Employment created by their past employer.
Certificate of Employment consists of below information.
 
-Company Name
-Name of representative
-Company address
-Phone number
-Date of certification
-Signature or seal of the verifier
-Name of the applicant
-Date of birth (for identification purpose)
-Period of employment (i.e. August, 2013 ~ October, 2014)
-Type of work (i.e. translation…etc)
